GaGà Milano announces the opening of its retail point in Gangnam Lotte Korea

GaGà Milano has reinforced its presence in Korea by opening a new prestigious corner in the luxury Lotte in Gangnam, the core shopping area of southern Seoul. An elegant and refined shopping center, which welcomes in the Luxury Watch & Jewellery department the most exclusive brands of watches and jewellery. The opening of a new store in Gangnam, marks another opportunity for GaGà Milano, to continue its expansion into international markets.


The skull has become the fashionable protagonist of the new line of GaGà Milano silver bracelets. Handmade in Italy, the bracelets are available in gold plated yellow, pink and with black PVD treatment, in both male and female sizes. Colored stones give a touch of glam to the bracelets which propose an elegant version of the symbol that has conquered the fashion world.

The FLAT 42MM model certainly does not go unnoticed: a round-shaped watch with a 3-part stainless steel case with screw crown positioned at 12 o’clock, a GaGà Milano trademark.
 The back plate, tightened with 4 screws to ensure water resistance up to 5 atm, also has the function of retaining the unique perforated strap between the bottom of the case and the central body of the watch. The dial, enamel or mother of pearl, presents Arabic numerals with coloured indices enclosed in a metal frame and skeleton hands. As highlighted by the name itself, the FLAT model has a thickness of only 11 mm and a diameter of 42mm.


At Baselworld, the traditional appointment with the most important trade fair of the watchmaking world, GaGà Milano presented NAPOLEONE BABY. The brand new model, with a rectangular case in steel or pink gold plated, was proposed, for the occasion, in mini format of 30mm. x 25mm. The dials are in white mother of pearl with multicolour or monochromatic Roman and Arabic numerals, in nuance with the strap. At the four corners, small topazes embellish the watch. The strap is available in lizard print leather, strictly manufactured in Italy. Creativity and colour, craftsmanship and style; these are the ingredients that make each GaGà Milano watch unique and at the same time absolutely unmistakable, as the new 2016 models.


For this edition of BASELWORLD 2016, the international watchmaking exhibition, GaGà Milano has confirmed more than ever is creative and colourful DNA, designing new models full of originality but with careful emphasis on technique and detail. First of all, the BIONIC SKULL, with 30 hour power reserve, presents an enamelled skull with coloured fillings, applied to the centre of the dial. The metal frames, applied black indexes and hands in sword complete the watch. The mineral glass, with sapphire treatment, is of convex shape, encased with nylon seals. The case, in 3 parts, is available in steel, rose gold and black PVD, with polished and satin finishes. The movement is mechanical Swiss Made with manual winding. But we are not only speaking of watches: also accessories, like leather goods, distinguished by those same creative and stylish features which make the brand unique and unmistakable.


It is said that when counterfeit starts, a brand is well established on the market. It happened to Gagà Milan s.r.l., company of Ruben Tomella, who made of his MANUAL watch the style icon of the Milanese " gagà " (dandy). In 2013, the originality of the Manuale model did not go unnoticed even to a Neapolitan company, which saw fit to reproduce it verbatim in the design, even the dial, affixing its own brand and selling it in various outlets throughout the country. In 2013, Gagà Milano did not hesitate to ask for and obtain a measure of confiscation and injunction from the Court of Milan, after which the action to obtain compensation for the damage caused was initiated. The expectations of Gagà Milano were initially few in the face of the counterfeiter’s reluctance to provide the data, turnover and sales of the counterfeit products. However – explained Gagà Milano’s lawyer, Marco Locatelli – in judgement 14770/2015 of 12.28.2015, the Milanese Court calculated an equitable compensation in reason of the ''towed parasitic effect" of the huge advertising investment made by Gagà Milano, enjoyed by the counterfeiter and his distribution network. Therefore, despite the absence of sales figures, the Court had enough items to determine the damage caused to Gagà Milano, ordering the counterfeiter to pay 60,000 Euros, in addition to legal fees for approximately 20,000 Euros, and requiring the publication of the judgment. The Court of Milan has confirmed that patenting and registering trademarks and designs brings value to the company and allows for compensation in case of imitations. Moreover, the costs of protecting intellectual property fall within the research and development expenses referred to in the recent Patent Box.


A model of reference in the GaGà Milano collection, the Chrono Thin 46MM has taken on a new light for Baselworld 2016, the renowned International Watchmaking Exhibition. True to the original version, the Chrono Thin 46MM Gold & Diamonds is characterized by the many facets it offers, starting from the case in 18-karat solid rose gold and the singular bracelet, always rose gold, fully perforated. For classic style lovers, it is also available in alligator leather. The ergonomic oval-shaped Chrono buttons, unusually positioned at 10 and 2 o'clock, and the crown, also made of solid gold, positioned at 12 o'clock, confirm once again the sophisticated and original soul of the brand. But that's not all: white diamonds further embellish this new version, set on the bezel and dial, black or white, illuminating the indexes and applied Arabic numbers. The automatic Swiss Made chronograph movement is visible on the back plate, always in rose gold, as the rotor, tightened with screws and a safety o-ring.
