WHO IS A “GAGÀ”?
The “Gagà” is a kind of man who, in the first decades of the twentieth century, revolutionized the way of being a “gentleman” in Italy. Often referred to as the Italian version of the Dandy, a gagà is a refined man with an unmistakable style, overlooking trends to stand out from the crowd.
Gagàs were born with a classic yet whimsical style, but as Ruben Tomella says, Gagà is an ever-evolving concept that constantly changes and adapts to what one feels at a moment. Keeping at its core the love for detail and unmistakable style the gagà always aims to “fare bella figura”, meaning to make a good impression.
THE BIRTH OF AN ICON
Like many great ideas, Gagà Milano started from a simple premise: taking the main elements of a pocket watch and adapt it to the wrist. An icon was then born: crown at 12, oversized lugs and bold numerals made up a striking combination of creative design.
Throughout the years, this iconic shape became the canvas onto which Ruben Tomella designed not just watches, but real works of art and design. Elegant or sporty, classic or captivating, each model embraced the DNA of Gagà Milano and gave birth to a collection that fostered personal expression and creative identity.

A FAMILY BUSINESS
Ruben Tomella’s love for watches started from an early age, when he began working together with his parents in their strap-making business.
After founding Gagà Milano in 2004, Ruben continues to work with family members to build his dream, alongside his wife Cristina as Sales Manager and his son Leonardo as Art Director.

Gagà Milano stands for a lifestyle and its watches are the statements of such way of living and dealing with the world. From the appreciation of niche design and quality products, to the polite and smiling attitude, the gagà concept can be taken anywhere and applied in all areas of life.
